Nice rooms. Good restaurant. Good service. Great breakfast.

Beautiful accomodation and restaurant and good location. There wasn't any 'check in' process, we were given a key by a gent who worked in the restaurant and taken to our room without any introduction to the hotel (its a bit like a museum and it would have been nice to learn more about it) or the city. There did not even seem to be a reception to ask questions. This is is not a big deal, just different from other hotels / hostels.

Couple of comments about the accomodations: 1. The power kept going on and off; as a result the light was very dim and basically unusable. We had to use our own lights to read, etc. 2. The meals were excellent; really enjoyed the local berry jam and honey; as well as the stuffed peppers.

A wonderful family, that made us feel really at home. we had a great time!

I'd struggle to find anything wrong with the room, but the hotel is above a restaurant/bar which I think has conference facilities and there was no hotel representatives to greet us or indeed converse with us throughout our stay was a bit odd. A waiter from the restaurant gave us our key and, devoid of any better instructions, we had to throw it over the fence after we'd let ourselves out at 5am! (the hotel is surrounded by a high fence and gate) The rooms are accessed by an external staircase at the rear of the building. On our departure in the dark at 5am, we saw a German Shepherd sat in the rear of the courtyard. Not able to see if he was chained up or not made for a somewhat nervous few minutes of "do we, don't we" fretting as to whether or not to walk down the stairs and go for the gate. In any event, he didn't seem bothered by us We enjoyed it, but never saw anyone. Fortunately I had paid in advance or don't know how we would have paid!
