Terthorja Guesthouse Your Host

Prek Terthorja

Prek Terthorja, while always living in Theth, has been to more countries around the world than most would dream of, at least metaphorically speaking. His photos, wearing a straw hat and his Sunday suit, have been printed on quite a few guidebooks and magazines, and have traveled to all continents, with the people who took them. You can be assured of a very interesting stay at his guesthouse.

Nobody knows the walks, paths and trails of the valley like Prek, who spent all his life as a shepherd, and now imparts this knowledge to young guides. Prek is a living map and manual of highland skills. He can still weild the axe to cut out tiles for roofs from pine logs, or you may see him supervise the mating of some special bull or horse.

Prek's brother, sons and entire family are a tremendous resource for all mountain-climbers. They have great experience with climbers' demands and needs, and the locals, following Prek's example have learned to keep the paths open and offer aid or support to groups of climbers or visitors.
