Terthorja Guesthouse, the biggest of the accommodations listed in the valley, is a very well preserved example of traditional architecture, which has been built using elaborate construction plans and only local materials, to secure warm and dry quarters for large families and preserve quantities of provisions against the harshest weather conditions possible. The walls and structures are so strong, that by all military standards would be able to withstand the onslaught of attacking enemies.
The house is set conveniently by the road, and it represents a perfect setting to meet other travellers of different origins and share with them stories of discovery and exploration of the Albanian nature, its people, culture and history.
