A truly unique guesthouse experience in the northernmost alpine region of Albania! This classic highland structure has been lovingly and artfully converted into a hostel-style guesthouse and campground, complete with an outdoor bar with treehouse seating!
Set against the stunning mountain backdrop, this is a perfect headquarters for exploration of the Albanian outdoors. The owner has added creative details such as the sign at the entrance that is inscribed with an Albanian poem.
The highlight is the outdoor bar with treehouse seating. Up in the treehouse, the branches are heavy with cherries, there are drinks kept cold using the spring water piped up as refrigeration, and the view is stunning.
The campground area is well equipped with a grill and access to the guesthouse bathroom facilities.

It is customary to remove your shoes before entering homes in the north. Since temperatures can get colder, we recommend bringing a pair of warm socks or slippers to wear instead of shoes while inside the guesthouse.
Various development organizations, such as the German Organization for Technical Cooperation, have worked with the host families in the area to bring their guesthouses up to standard. While travelers must keep in mind that these are very modest, simple, and rustic family home environments, they will be pleased to find that the accommodations do provide a comfortable stay.
It is most considerate to book in advance so that each family has time to prepare the food and guestrooms with your comfort in mind.
