When Gjon left his home and Shkodra in the early 90s, in search of a better life in the West, he would have never expected that a guided visit in a 200-year-old house in Bruge, Belgium, would make him think about what he had left behind, a 300-year-old house in Shkodra, built in the typical Ottoman style of the times, a typical self-sufficient unit with large halls and rooms on the ground floor dedicated to trading and manufacturing and elegantly decorated smaller rooms on the first floor, where the family would live. Today, the complex has been transformed to suit the needs of a busy traditional restaurant and a growing museum of national artefacts.
If there is a new group coming, they will ask you to leave the room before the arrival of the new guest (which is usually after noon).
If you wish to leave your luggage for a few extra hours, you can ask at the reception, and they will be happy to oblige. Please refer to our online dictionary, about asking to store your luggage
In case you want to cancel your trip, please make sure you do this in time. In case you cancel 48 hours, before the day of arrival, there will not be any cancellation charge.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice are subject to a charge equivalent to your first night's stay.Cash
